Piece for the Collaboration Between Rebecca Fabulatrice & Vincent Breed

Artistic approach of Rebecca Fabulatrice: “From reality to fabulation. The objects used—often forgotten, discarded, outside of taste—are familiar to us because they are archetypal or part of everyday life. Wrapped, sheathed, costumed, bearing memory, they return to us, lovable and splendid. Lingerie ribbon allows me to shape, unshape, graft form… I sculpt, but in reverse, by enveloping things. From precision to blur, exploring their contours, caring for them, fetishizing them. I create cocoon-like, hybrid works that reveal their transformation process. This fabric of skin is reminiscent of a mummy or a young child, evoking the rites of passage of ancient times. And so, before this soft, intimate material, we are all complicit. The ribbon becomes the bond.”
